A New Chapter with Mal Biscoe

In 2023, a new era begins as Mal Biscoe takes the helm of Ocean Living Surf School. Mal, a familiar face to our students, has been an integral part of the Ocean Living family for the past two years, working closely with Phil in instructing and mentoring aspiring surfers. Phil's legacy will live on as he continues to collaborate with Mal, ensuring the traditions and expertise of the surf school are passed down to a new generation.

Meet Mal

Mal's connection to the ocean runs deep. He first discovered his love for surfing at the age of 15 and has since dedicated his life to riding the waves both locally and abroad. As a Goolwa local, Mal possesses an intimate understanding of the ever-changing Goolwa surf conditions. His knowledge ensures that every student receives a safe, enjoyable, and truly memorable experience.

But Mal's commitment to his community doesn't stop at the water's edge. He's not only a skilled surf instructor but also a surf lifesaver at Goolwa. Beyond the beach, Mal is a senior firefighter and an active member of the local Country Fire Service (CFS). His extensive experience in training and leadership within these organizations highlights his dedication to the safety and well-being of others.
